DRIVING LICENCE AND EYESIGHT
You must be able to read a number plate at a distance of 20 metres (67 feet) using your glasses if normally worn.
You must hold a current valid licence, either provisional or full and this must be produced on the first lesson. Your licence details are not recorded by the school.
Prior to booking with us you must disclose any endorsements.
Prior to your first lesson you must provide your instructor with an official licence share code. You can obtain this by visiting the official DVLA website.
Any changes in the above during the training period must be declared before any further lessons commence.
HEALTH AND ABILITY TO DRIVE
You have a responsibility to ensure that you are fit and well enough to drive. If you are not feeling well you should notify your instructor as soon as possible.
You must not drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs and you should be aware that some prescription and over the counter medicines can cause drowsiness.
If we believe that you are unfit to drive the vehicle, the lesson will be cancelled immediately and chargeable.
You must tell us of any changes in health or eyesight that affect your ability to drive.
FOOTWEAR AND CLOTHING
You must wear suitable footwear and clothing for each lesson.
Footwear should be well fitted and flat soled. Bare foot, open toe, flip-flop, crocs or any other type of backless sandals are not acceptable footwear for the school and use of the training vehicle will be prohibited.
Clothing which restricts the ability to drive, such as a large puffy jacket must be removed before the lesson commences.
PUNCTUALITY
We will arrive promptly at your nominated pick up point for your lesson. If after 15 minutes you have not made contact, or we are unable to reach you by phone, the lesson will be terminated and remain chargeable.
PAYMENTS
We accept payment by Cash, Card or Bank Transfer.
We offer ‘PAYG’ or ‘PREPAY’ services.
Bank Transfers and Card payments need to be made 24 hours before the start each lesson.
Note: card payment is only accepted through the client app and there is a charge by the provider for this service.
Cash payments are due in advance, on first lesson a payment equivalent to two lessons is required to setup the advance. Payment for following lessons will be due at start of lesson.
Where a chargeable cancellation occurs, the Cash advance will be drawn and therefore a new advance required as done previously on the first lesson.
The school does not require a large deposit to book and does not offer credit.
Late or non payment would result in a lesson cancellation and associated charges as set out below. It may also lead to termination of our services.
LESSON CANCELLATION
You will need to give a minimum of 48 hours notice should you need to cancel a lesson. Any lessons cancelled within this period will be charged and must be paid for in full within 24 hours of giving notice.
Any Prepay or Cash advance payments will be used to cover the charge. The school reserves the right to cancel further tuition for late or non payment.
If the car is damaged during a lesson or on test, the remainder of the lesson will be terminated and no refund will be given.
PERSONAL PROPERTY
The school accepts no responsibility for any damage or loss of clothing, mobile phones or any other property left in the training car. However, every reasonable effort will be made to protect the items until they have been collected.
THE DRIVING TEST
We are available for driving tests booked for any time Monday to Friday. We are Not available for tests booked for weekends.
The use of the training car in a driving test must be paid for at the normal rates which includes the instructor attendance.
We would expect you to pass a minimum of two mock tests
with us before taking an official driving test in our training car.
The instructor reserves the right to refuse use of the training car for test if in their opinion you are not at the required standard.
It is your responsibility to book, cancel or amend your test within the current guidelines.
Should a mechanical failure or accident damage occur involving the training car during the test, the remainder of the lesson will be terminated and no refund given.
The school can not be held responsible for any losses incurred, including test fee and travel expenses.
CONDUCT
We treat everyone we meet with respect. The comfort and safety of our clients and instructors is always our top priority. The school has a zero tolerance stance on conduct of its clients.
If the instructor is made to feel uncomfortable or threatened by an individual (including others associated with the individual) the school reserves the right to refuse all future bookings for that individual. The school also reserves the right to cancel its services for any reason, including poor attendance or non payment.
The school will not be responsible for losses externally, such as test fees or public transport fees in this event.
YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We record your name and address for our records, and usually your phone number so we can communicate between your driving lessons. We would appreciate having an emergency contact, so please ask permission to share their details with us.
We will never share personal details with anyone else and they will be deleted once they are not needed.
If your journey with us involves a Driving Test, we would love to share a picture on our Website and Social Media, but if you would prefer we didn’t do this, please let your instructor know.
